  • Had Botox within a 2-week period before the appointment

  • Had an organ transplant

  • Have epilepsy

  • Currently sick with a cold or flu-like virus

  • Used Accutane in the past 6 months

Preparation Before Your Appointment:

  • 30 Days Prior:

    • Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion.

    • Botox injections and fillers should be performed no less than 3 weeks before the appointment, as they can alter brow position and skin texture.

    • Avoid antibiotics and any anti-aging or anti-acne products.

    • No Retin A within 30 days of treatment (No Accutane within one year of treatment).

    • No recent surgery of any kind.

  • 2 Weeks Prior:

    • Do NOT use tanning beds 2 weeks before the appointment. Sunburn at the time of the appointment will lead to rescheduling and forfeiture of the deposit.

    • Avoid waxing or tinting 2 weeks prior to the service.

  • 48-72 Hours Prior:

    • Avoid blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve, NSAIDS, vitamin E, fish oil, or vitamins unless medically necessary (with a doctor's note).

    • Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

  • 24 Hours Prior:

    • Avoid strenuous workouts on the day of your appointment.

    • No alcohol or caffeine consumption 24 hours before the procedure.

Aftercare for Your Eyebrows:

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure optimal healing and results. Here's what you should do:

  • Immediately after your treatment, blot the treated area with a damp cotton pad every hour to remove any lymph, which, if not removed, can cause excessive scabbing.

  • In the first 7-10 days (or until final healing), remember that the healing process varies from person to person and can take 7-14 days. Follow these steps:

    • Apply the provided aftercare balm morning and night after cleansing the area with a tiny amount of cleanser and water. Blot off with a tissue before applying the balm.

    • Refrain from applying makeup in the treatment area while it heals.

    • It's normal for the treatment area to appear uneven, dry, itchy, tender, red, and irritated during this phase.

    • Avoid activities such as public bathing, sunbathing, tanning salons, saunas, beauty treatments, intense sweating during sports, and contact with dust.

  • In the first 30 days, avoid laser treatments over the treated area, as they can destroy pigment and cause burns. Additionally, antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster fading, so always protect the treated area from the sun. The colour will appear less dark once healed.

Please note that the healing process for eyebrow tattoos varies from person to person and can involve ups and downs during the initial 7-10 days. Avoid comparing your progress to others, and refrain from searching for images online.

Your eyebrows may initially appear darker, and they may start to scab, which can make them look patchy. As the scabs naturally fall off, they may appear very light. It's essential to wait the full 4 weeks for your brows to settle before considering any changes or adjustments.

Keep in mind that this aftercare routine serves as a guideline and may be slightly adjusted by your artist depending on the specific tattoo technique used.

What to Expect After Your Brow Tattoo Appointment:

  • Be patient during the healing process, as brow tattoos may not appear perfect immediately after the first session. Healing can be a two-step process, and results may change daily.

  • Immediately after the procedure, your brows will appear darker and more defined, with these results lasting up to 2 weeks. Your brow tattoo may seem more solid during this time, and individual hair strokes may appear to disappear, giving a painted-on look.

  • Around days 4-5, you may experience flaking, and your brows might appear dry. It's crucial not to pick at your brows during this phase, as premature picking can lead to missing hair strokes and potential scarring.

  • The full healing process for your brow tattoo can take up to 4 weeks. As the flaking subsides, hair strokes may initially appear faint due to a fresh layer of skin healing over the tattoo. Over the next few weeks, the hair strokes will become clearer.

  • Itchiness in the brows after the 10th day is normal.

  • Note that the healing outcome can vary, with oilier skin types typically resulting in a more solid and powdery appearance, while drier skin types tend to heal with crisper and more defined hair strokes.

  • Those who tend to bleed more may require additional touch-ups, as the blood can push out pigment during the tattooing process.

  • Mild flaking (Do NOT pick at scabs)

  • Initial dark appearance that will soften once healed

  • Temporary unevenness in color during flaking

  • The treated area may appear uneven, dry, itchy, tender, red, and irritated. These symptoms are normal and will diminish each day, varying among individuals.

Additionally, avoid public bathing, sunbathing, tanning salons, saunas, beauty treatments, intense sports activities causing sweating, and contact with dust (household chores, etc.) during the initial healing phase.

In the First 30 Days:

  • Avoid laser treatments over the treated area (Fraxel laser, IPL) as they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

  • Be cautious with antibiotics and hormonal therapy, as they may lead to faster fading. Always protect the treated area from the sun.

  • Note that the healed color will appear less dark over time.

This comprehensive aftercare routine is designed to ensure the best possible results and safety for your lash line enhancement (eyeliner) treatment.

How to Prepare Before Your Appointment:

  • Start exfoliating and moisturizing your lips 5 days before your appointment.

  • Cold sore medication is essential to prevent outbreaks. Begin taking it at least 3 days before your appointment, and sooner if you are prone to cold sores. This is a critical step.

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners like ibuprofen, omegas, aspirin, and vitamin E for 24 hours prior to your appointment. Panadol is acceptable, and you don't need to take it before your appointment as your lips will be numbed.

  • Lip blush can be done 1 month after getting Botox or fillers.

  • Arrive without makeup around your lips.

  • Consider bringing photos or a favorite lip color to your appointment for reference.

Aftercare for Your Lip Blush Tattoo:

The aftercare and healing of your lips can take 3-7 days, with the complete process spanning roughly 6-8 weeks:

  • After your appointment, your lips will appear quite pigmented, swollen, and sometimes sensitive. This is normal and will gradually fade as your lips heal. It may take at least 6 weeks to see the true colour.

  • About 2 hours after your appointment, gently wipe your lips with a damp cotton pad to remove any fluid, using lukewarm or cold boiled water.

  • Keep your lips and the surrounding area clean after eating to prevent infections. Avoid hot, spicy foods, and use utensils to eat and a straw to drink.

  • Apply aftercare balm when your lips feel tight or dry. Continue applying the balm until flaking stops, typically around 48 hours.

  • Do not smoke.

  • Do not pick at your lips; allow any dryness to fall off naturally.

  • Avoid wetting, swimming, saunas, beauty treatments, intense sports activities causing sweating, and contact with dust for 7 days.

  • Do not apply lip gloss or lipstick until the flaking has finished. Use only the provided aftercare balm.

In the First 30 Days:

  • Avoid laser treatments over the treated area, such as Fraxel laser and IPL, as they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

  • Be aware that antibiotics and hormonal therapy may lead to faster fading, so always protect the treated area from the sun.

  • Note that the healed color will be less dark initially.

During the healing phase, lip tattoos go through various stages, and results can vary from person to person. It's essential not to compare yourself to others or rely on online images for expectations.

What to Expect After Your Lip Blush Tattoo Appointment:

  • Understand that your lip tattoos may not heal perfectly after the first session. Healing is typically a two-step process, and results may change daily.

  • Immediately after the procedure, your lips will appear darker and more defined. This will last up to 2 weeks. Your lip tattoo may initially seem more solid, with individual strokes potentially appearing to disappear.

  • Around days 4-5, you may experience flaking, and your lips may appear dry. Avoid picking at your lips, as premature removal of flakes can lead to patchy results and potential scarring.

  • Full healing can take up to 4 weeks. As flaking subsides, the hair strokes may initially appear faint due to a fresh layer of skin healing over the tattoo. Over the next few weeks, the lip color will become clearer.

  • Some itchiness in the lips after the 10th day is normal.

  • The final appearance of healed lip blush may vary, with oilier skin types typically resulting in a more solid and powdery look, while drier skin types tend to have crisper and more defined strokes.

  • Individuals who tend to bleed more during the procedure may require additional touch-ups, as the blood can push out pigment during tattooing.

Comprehensive aftercare is essential for achieving the best possible results and ensuring a safe and successful lip blushing procedure.
